For my boat project I made a test circuit for single channel rudder and motor control.
The rudder actuator will be a (slow rudder moving!) worm drive with left and right limiting switches.
Each input signal will reverse the rotating direction of the rudder worm drive motor. Duration of the (tone)input is activation time of the motor. For steering f.e. a second time left, give a pulse ... tone signal. There is no defined center position, just as with 1:1 boats.
Two short pulses do start or stop the motor.
I did use this sytem already in my first boat, about 55 years ago.
The system will be combined with one channel of my 4 channel tube transmitter and transistor superregen tone selective receiver with relay output.
In the relay circuits no semiconductors are used, only relay's, resistors and capacitors, so 'old school'.
