Sorted, I vaguely remembered this motor had been changed out for some reason, I think it was rough and it was shelved and forgotten. Anywho, went to Modelshop Leeds and the J60 now has a new Thumper 2836 and a new 10x4e prop. I've added 5oz of lead to the nose too as the CG was way back. Should be ok for Ponty!

I think that Phil was referring to your joining together of smaller wing bands rather than pay for ones the correct size!

Mind you, I'd not thought of joining them together, and that is a Top Money Saving Tip!!!!
Oh, I understand now, I am just a poor dumb Aussie. Lots of No64 Rubber bands here.

Sorry Tom I was just pulling your leg, we Yorkshiremen have a totally undeserved reputation for stingieness and snapped bands knotted and put back into service would be typical 'Yorkshire' scrimping. Just a throw-away joke that didnt work, sorry ! :D

Cheers

Not sure about undeserved, I think it's a fully deserved reputation and works for me - it certainly diverts the 'fully undeserved' attention away from us folks up in the frozen wastes   At the very least, we would have spliced it to form a far better joint
