Couple of photos of my new skyleader clubman box.
No idea what original looked like but this is my new retro design.

Re: A new box for the clubman
I doubt if the original would have looked as good as that Ron!

Re: A new box for the clubman
Ron
The original Clubman came in a plain brown box with the standard polystyrene insert. The same generic box was used for the SL, SLX, Clubman, Clubman Super, TSX and TS, but changed with the Courier onwards. I could take a photo of it, but there seems little point in taking a photo of a plain brown box.
Cheers

Thanks Mike,
I prefer a bit of colour
Thought they would of added a bit of colour eh especially when their txs were bright yellow!

Re: A new box for the clubman
Hi Ron
It looks like I'm mistaken about the Skyleader packaging, as a boxed set has come up on eBay with a coloured sleeve.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vintage-skyl ... 2749.l2649
I've always assumed that they came in plain brown boxes as that is how my Skyleader TS came new in 1975, unless the sleeve was removed by the model shop. I also have another four boxed Skyleaders (Clubman, SLX and 2x TSX) that are all in plain brown boxes. My boxed Courier and Courier Specials have similar packaging to the one on eBay.
But I think I prefer your box to the original.
Cheers
Mike
