Gary, I'm in a similar position. Now that my MPX Shark has been crashed and repaired 3 times I'm going to use that for my first go at slope soaring. Having a motor takes away a lot of apprehension lobbing it from my local coastal cliffs. I'll choose a day when the tide is out too, but I need the wind to come from the West which hasn't occurred all winter and when it did last week it was blowing 50 to 60 mph . I may finally have a go this week as all the ducks are in a row - 10 mph winds, tide out, wind from the West and I have a section of coast where the cliff itself is only a couple of metres high with a way down to retrieve the model if I don't get it right.
