Inspired by Mark Dean's fantastic Go-Jet at Ponte in the summer, I've been building one myself, which is going to be rudder-elevator and electric powered.
The fuselage is pretty much done, the trickiest bit being the routing of the elevator control snakes up through the highly swept back fin to the high TV tail. Torque rod for the rudder actuation is in, with some old school wire bending. Motor is mounted - when I cut out the sides I extended the fuselage sides to hide the motor itself, the reason for which will become apparent later.
Just started on the wing yesterday, which is my favourite type of wing construction, 1/16th sheet wing skins, a few ribs, no spar. The upper and lower skins are done, ribs are in place and the aliphatic is going off overnight. This is all being built from my diminishing stock of 1970's vintage Solarbo balsa
