First Flight Mini Mambo

Post by MJF »

Finally got around to flight testing both the converted Commander transmitter and my newly completed Mini Mambo.

The plane, pilot and transmitter came together for a very successful first flight. For most in my club it was the first time they had seen a single channel button clacking model flight!

I am not sure if we had good thermal activity that day but the little Cox engine and 8 cc tank took the plane up to the limits of my vision despite trying to spiral down - on two flights. Might try it again, weather permitting this weekend to see if I need to go to a smaller 5 cc fuel tank.
It was an immensely satisfying day out flying.

Thanks Mike for sharing this. Sounds like you had a great experience flying your Mini Mambo.

I have to agree with the previous post
