I lost my first RC model that way. Rough old Vic Smeed Mamselle I paid buttons for at a swapmeet, little weedy brushless motor in it.

"If you fly on your own Stew, don't let it get downwind" they said.
"If you let it get downwind you'll lose it" they said"

I found the bits after losing sight of it behind some trees...3 fields away....downwind.

That's a bummer Al. RIP little Tomboy.
