Re: New mystery model
That cover photo of Shaun's model: to me, it looks like the propeller is the reverse rotation type (clockwise, viewed from the front).
Am I seeing things, or did the engine (O.S. Gemini ?) run backwards, or what?

Well spotted, occasionally they reverse photos to help with the layout of the page.

Re: New mystery model
Here is another oldtimer I got from a good friend some weeks ago.
I repainted it , repaired some minor defects put RC in it and a fake 3D-printed Ohlsson 23 dummy engine to make it look more realistic.
It flies nicely. It is an "Answer" from 1940. Frank

Re: New mystery model
Next project is ready. Maiden flight took place yesterday. It flies like a dream and quite aerobatic too.

Re: New mystery model
Impeccable as usual, very well done. Used to have one in the old days and sure can second that it's an amazing model like most Graupners models.
For those of you not familiar with of the Graupner kits/products it's worth mentioning their quality and impeccable instructions that followed.

Re: New mystery model
I'm guessing it's a 3D printed "dummy" as the above was.

Re: New mystery model
The motor is 3D-printed including the silencer. The outrunner is mounted ahead of the crankcase where normally the carburetor is located.
I did the drawings for it and got them printed by a company in China for very reasonable money. Frank
