Newbie in Belgium

Hi, everybody. I'm an avid modeller since more years I could (want?) remember. I flew only proportional during these years. Retired now, I still had to discover radio control single channel and reeds that I saw in the magazines when I was young, but couldn't afford as they were far too expensive for me. It's time now, and I already have a single channel invader, with a transmitter base on the PIC Phil do. I also have done a reeds transmitter and a Kraft 2.4ghz, also based on the Phil work on arduinos. So, I wait end of lock down...Glad to be here, be kind as I'm not really proficient in english...

Hello Victor and welcome. Your english is fine. I'm in Australia where real(?) english is used - If I can be understood, you won't have any difficulties

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your projects/conversions

Another try.... As you can see, this Invader is the australian one, a clone of the Livewire.

Aeroflyte kitted the Invader for many years. In the 70's & 80's it was impossible to visit an Aussie flying field and not see at least one flying around.

Hi Victor,
Great to see Australian models built in other countries. I've got the that Invader too, mine was built in 1962 and flown with an OS Minitron SC transmitter (Shaun now owns the TX) and a Silvertone receiver running a Bonner Varicomp escapement. The airframe is in great condition, just needs to be recovered, I even have a Taipan 15 diesel to power it. Does it fly well? I have been advised by others it was a bit of a hand full to fly well?

Cheers,

Dave

It seems I have no choice, but put a logo on the model :) My first single channel model was a 50' Tomboy, much easir to trim. But I crashed because the small Frsky receiver lost his antenna. It happens quite often... Anyway, the Invader flies quite well now.
