Martin's PPM tester advice please

Post by Tommy_Boy »

Just completed the tester, used a blue 1.3" 4 pin display, mine seems to work fine, then freezes @ various times. The onboard led also seems to flash when things are working. any thoughts?

thanks,

Hi Tommy, most likely it could be that the I2C lines (SDA & SCL) each need a 1k pullup resistor to 5v. We normally get away without but the I2C spec says they really should be present. Its definitely a hardware problem, Martins code is solid. The flashing led is normal Image
Hope this helps

Definitely the pull-ups. On a display from eBay I purchased recently, It would work without the pull-ups but kept locking up and freezing. As soon as the pull-ups were present it cured it.
