Taylorcraft Plans & Box Free to good home

Post by Wavemeter »

This was a bonus inside my Black Magic kit. It’s a rather lovely box top with artwork and a set of excellent well printed plans for a rubber power Taylorcraft

If someone would like it I’m happy to post for the cost of post and packing

If nobody has grabbed it yet, I'll gladly put dibs on it. It would make a lovely fair weather pulse proportional scaley :D

(And yes Gary, it will get built (eventually ))
Cheers,

Wayne

Hello Wayne yes will post gladly
The box art is lovely so even if you don’t build it you have something to hang up on the wall in the shed ;)
Pm your address

To be clear it’s a box lid and a very well printed plan

Hi guys,

I am still flying a Comet Taylorcraft as the one on the box lid. I got exactly the same kit in a K-mart in Huntsville,Ala in 1980. It cost $6.00 and was intended as a 54" wingspan (137cm) rubber powered FF model.
I built it some years later and used spruce spars and a brushed motor (480 size) with 2:1 gear, 8cell NC and rudder and elevator control. It was, and still is a lovely flyer.
It still uses the same brushed motor, now on a 3S Lipo for better performance and one of Tobe´s genius GG actuators for GG rudder and elevator control.
Wayne, you will not be disappointed when building it, it´s well worth it.
I don´t have a picture on hand, if you are interrested, I will add one later.

Cheers
Frank

Frank that sounds great I’d love to see a photo when you get round to it. I already have a Taylorcraft. It’s the Eflite one and has be substantially repaired and recovered . It’s one of my favourites and flies like a dream. I really trust it and it’s responses down often test newly restored radio in it

Here we go.
The Taylorcraft has still the first japanese tissue covering and the first paint job, so it is well over 30 years old and has plenty of repair patches.
But it is still airworthy and flying like a dream.
