Just search for DAL Quad props and loads of sellers will come up.

Cheers

Shaun
Thanks Shaun, Quad was the key word I was missing.

I was looking at, seems to do all the same things. https://www.robotbirds.co.uk/default/ae ... 2-12s.html

It would be nice if a couple of people posted some images of their Pulstars up on the Outerzone site for others to enjoy!
My build continues at racing snail pace..

Had a bit of time so I've knocked up another model for Ponte over the last 2 days. I guarantee it will put a smile on everybody's face. Can you guess what it is?

Shaun.

I've been unexpectedly awarded Friday off, so decided to have a go at the Pulstar.
Went to Leeds model shop first thing, 3rd attempt after two 'closed on arrival' episodes...
Bought wood, glue, sanding sealer, brushes (HOW much??? for some hair on a stick???)

So far we have a wing, not quite to plan but using those offcut packs that you buy at shows:

We also have some fuz sides, breaking my usual tradition of making two left sides.
Back in Vic's day there was less demand for balsa, allowing them to wait until the tree
was 4 7/16" wide. These days of course they get chopped down at 4" wide
so we have to stick bits together. Image This is called 'aeromodelling' (or something...)
Isnt it fun working around all those curves?

Bish bash bosh, when the glue dries we will have a fuz - using some new-fangled high-tech adhesive
called 'balsa cement'

Got a tiny 1610 motor, prop, esc, 450 lipo, rx ... might just possibly get there just in time!
Pondering which radio to use. Think it might be the Macgregor Digimac 1+1.

Can you tell what it is yet?

No. A flying cowpat?

But 2 days? You bloody retirees - I've spent since you leaned on me at the January club meeting making summat that I hope will also make people look. Maidened it on Weds, and it seems to fly - so hoping that the WX doesn't degenerate between now and Sunday.

Colin,

I'm taking a leaf out of your Windbag flight principal from last year with my 2 day wonder ( Actually it's take time today to finish all the fiddly bits so it's now a 3 day special).

Test fly it on the day and give everybody a laugh if it fails to behave.

All done, hardly a concours effort but at least I can join in the Pulstar slot
It test-glides nicely, maybe needs a tad of noseweight. Not tried it on power yet but the
HK1610 gives plenty of static pull. No idea what it weighs as I've mislaid my drug scales

I had a bit of unexpected excitement in the shed, bordering on panic, I'd given the whole thing
a good slobbering with sanding-sealer, which had only just dried. Half an hour later, I was
heatshrinking the motor connections with my trusty gas 'Pyro Pen' and... whoosh! the whole fus
burst into flames! Managed to blow it out and it was mostly fumes burning as theres only a small
scorch-mark on the fuz side. Fun & games eh Image

Cheers
Phil
