Multiplex gear for sale.

One of our members died suddenly recently, and I've been helping his family clear his stuff. There is a LOT of Multiplex 35 MHz gear there - mostly pre-computer era, but too nice to throw in the skip!

The downside is that its all mode 1! But hopefully that shouldn't prove too much of an obstacle for the folks on here!

This is by way of sounding out if anyone here is potentially interested before I put it on BMFA or ebay. The transmitters should convert to 2.4 GHz quite easily.

I'll try and get some pictures over the week-end, but if anyone wants any more info, just ask.

Hi Pete.
Anything suitable for the museum especially early mpx tx's?
Cheers,
Shaun.

The only thing wrong with mode 1 is that there is no-one else in Devon who flies like that!

Anyway, here's some pix:

This is a Multiplex Commander set ("Manufactured for Sprengbrook Precision"!), complete with receivers and servos. It all works, but I would advise changing the batteries before using in anger!

Next a collection of transmitters:

There is another Commander, in pristine condition, a Profi and a 3010. The orange thing (lower right) appears to be a programmer for digital servos, and Shaun has already bagged that!

I also have a selection of receivers, servos and crystals. Some of the receivers are the IPD ones, which appear to be a bit sought after!

All proceeds go to the family, and if anyone is interested in anything, I'll happily bring it up to Ponty to save on the postage!

Ah, the 3010! Definitely not pre-computer era, I have got one ( even in the same livery) and I can thoroughly recommend it. You have to like the Multiplex way of programming though. I do and I knew it the first time I read the manual on loan to me from my LHS in the early 90's. 9 Channels and freely programmable 4-way mixers for every channel, what's not to like! I am not using it anymore as I own two Royal Pro/SX tx nowadays.
I did convert it to 2.4 gHz with MPX's stick-on (velcro) module which connects to the trainer port, but eventually fell for the charm of the Royal.

Cheers,
Max.

(PS: I do appreciate that this may be a bit outside the "vintage" flavour of this forum :) )
