Hi all.
I have the Paul Newell book (theory and practice of model radio control) and I would love to have a Microtrol set to go with it!
I realise they'll be a rare as rocking horse poo by now.
I would love a transmitter, receiver and servos, but I willing to take whatever is available.
If ou have nay of this gear, or know any likely leads, do let me know!
Regards
Stew.

Try Ali (he of Al's Hobbies). He has a HUGE collection, often with several examples of the same set. He's not cheap but I have had several "vintage" sets from him........ It would certainly be worth giving him a ring at his Milton Keynes shop.......01908 313142.

Knowing Ali well as long as you appreciate you usually have less chance than no chance of Ali selling any of his sets , you'll be ok but he does occasionally let things go as Paul's mentioned.
Huge doesn't even begin to describe his collection and then there's the kits
Hope you get lucky like Paul has. Its got to be worth a call.

There's more dirt around the vertical trimmer for the right hand stick - which is another pointer that it could be a mode 1 set - the throttle trimmer tends to get more action than the elevator one - and very often when your hands are still wet with fuel or other engine gunk.

The whole tx was filthy, I just gave it a wipe prior to the photo so some of the blue vinyl could be seen.
