These 2.5gm servos by DYS were popular in the Giantcod era, sized 20.6 long x 8.4mm wide
Does anyone know of an exact size-for-size replacement please?

Re: DYS 2.5gm servo replacement?
Hi Phil,
this one is same length but 1.5mm wider:

& this is same width (8mm) but 4mm shorter - I have used these and they work surprisingly well for the price :

These are both very close in size........

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigytm-t ... -5-6g.html
I have both but haven't used the 1440A yet. Despite only getting a three star rating, I have used the D56LV in all my small s/c models and I would give it 5 stars!..... Metal gears, precise and powerful for it's size and LV means that provided you use a suitable Rx, you only need a 1s battery. A really good little servo. They also do a version for 2s operation......

For what it's worth, The 1440s look cheap & nasty but I've used them in everything from my Impala to a foam speed machine & no failures yet.

I can confirm what Al said. I have knocked 7 bells out of my 1440 servos in my indoor shockie models.. literally hundreds of flights an no failures. Probably had around 16 of them to date plus used some in my s/c models..
