MPJet?

Post by Stew »

Hi all.
Does anyone know if Flitehook are still doing the MPJet .049 diesels?

I tried emailing but no joy.

His website (http://www.flitehook.net/) has a contact page and there is a phone number at the bottom of it...... Have you tried calling him?

As far as I know MPJet never made an .049. They made an .040(.6cc) side port induction motor and an .060(1cc) front induction motor in plain bearing and ball raced crankshaft.

Ah yes, it's the .040 I'm after. I've had a few, and lost a few...
I got the last one from Canada, but I'll give the Hooks a ring.
i hate using the phone, it really does my nut in. For me it's like when you meet someone head one in a narrow corridor, and you both try to dodge round each other in the same direction a couple of times...

Funny that about the phone. I'd much rather speak to people, phone or face to face, than type or text(never do it).

He's also selling an MPJet 061(1cc) BB diesel for the same price. Personally I'd go for this one as they are very nice engines (assuming its in good condition). I've got two of them with the manufacturers twin needle RC carb.

Or, you could try an engine from Redfin for not a lot more money http://www.redfinengines.com/new-products/

Email is convenient, but I hate it, face to face is OK, but being an Aspie, I'm sometimes not happy with talking very much. I don't own a mobile, (hate the things) so I never text!
This is one of the few forum's I'm on.
Red Fin engines are excellent, and I've met Alex Phin a few times at Old Warden, nice chap. I will be following his new developments closely.
There are some great little diesels out there to be bought new, which I find amazing being it's the 21st century. PAW, Red Fin, MPJet, and a few others.
