Diesel Recognition Week

I've been given another diesel, I'm pretty certain it's a PAW 2.49 R/C, but all the PAW RC diesels that I can see seem to have a carb that is canted forward, not vertical (like we had in the early c/l combat days).
Anyone shed some light ??
The cylinder is 31.4mm dia - just in case it isn't a 249 :-)
There is no wiring involved at all, so that puts me at a disadvantage from the start

Neil, PAW have quite an active group on facebook, it would be worth posting your question there......

Hi mate,
I'm pretty certain it's a Paw. There were some Indian manufactured copies ....possibly called Sharma ? but not the same quality as the originals.

Shaun.

Some seem to think they are worth considering:

Thanks for all the info folks, makes really interesting reading for an electrophile (Ex-IC :-) :-) )
Had never heard of Sharma - haven't heard about a lot of stuff even though I'm as old as the other pilate - Pontius (but not as old as Shaun the Great :-) ) As an aside, it seems that Pontius spent some time in Scotland - FWTW :-)
Not sure if he was into s/c or combat :-)

So are we agreed that it's definitely an early PAW 2.5 R/C - even though I can't find any provenance ?

I also have a Rivers 2.5, but I know what that is - and I just saw one for sale on fleabay the other evening ! Jeeeeeez, who would pay 130 quid for a Rivers ??? Anyone want to buy mine LOL at an inflated rate :-)))))
