Well I'm ready...... I test flew the new Ohm 4 (1/2 scale Ohm 8) yesterday. :P

It has Rudder and Elevator controls and the motor is the delightful little SAM 35 (.35cc) which does have enough power but only just! The problem with scaling things down is that, though the dimensions are halved, you only get a quarter of the wing area which means that the wing loading is correspondingly higher. The model needs a good hard launch and has to fly quite fast. So for anyone who hasn't started their project yet, the moral of the tale is ..... KEEP IT LIGHT! Also I have to confess that I found such a small and comparatively fast model quite difficult to see against yesterday's drab grey sky.

'Fun little model though and thankfully I didn't break it! ;)
