Hi Stew,
I don’t mind you advertising your radio on here. If you get a good price maybe a voluntary small contribution to the upkeep of the forum may be in order.
Thanks
Ron.

Well the Soarcerer arrived today. Wondered what to expect And it's better than expectedCarl wrote: ↑27 Apr 2019, 20:48Looks like I'm the new owner of the SoarcererCarl wrote: ↑21 Apr 2019, 21:59Yes I saw that and put in a bid. Last year I got hold of a KK Chief built in 1968 in similar condition to do sympathetic repairs and this looks like another candidate. Plus I want a SoarcererNeilMac wrote: ↑21 Apr 2019, 14:03 Sorcerer looking for a good home.

What I can say is that it's beautifully made - the ebay photos didn't do it justice. The quality of the build is superb. Little details show real craftsmanship. The wing has already been treated with something - so doesn't require any remedial work.
So there are only two things required - yes only two things
- The tailplane needs recovering - that was obvious. I have some old, aged tissue that'll be perfect.

Thanks Paul for the link. There is a site not too far from me that would be good for me to get to and possibly meet some other rc pilots. A local chap gave me a glider recently and it's somewhere he flies gliders and often others are there too. I notice on the slopehunter site that's it's very good for north and possible south, so I'll go along and have a look to see what it's like for a southerly wind.PaulJ wrote: ↑02 May 2019, 18:56Carl, are you aware of the SLOPEHUNTER website?

It shows Brean Down as a good spot.... only if you can be 100% certain you can make a top landing, cos if you can't you are on the rocks or in the sea.

Re: Ebay bargains & tip-offs
And some times you get lucky Phil, Derek's loss is my gain (sorry Derek).
I already have a REP 8 channel and a 3 channel set so bid on and won the 4 channel. I thought it would go way above what I was prepared to pay, but didn't
Is everybody too busy getting ready for Ponty to look on eBay?

Re: Ebay bargains & tip-offs
Not on eBay... yet.
Just wondered if anyone has any interest in this gubbins that I acquired in a bundle.... all 'as is' and untested. I think they are identified correctly? I'm not wanting owt for them (maybe some postage if going overseas) but would prefer them to go to someone who might have a use for them - ie if anyone's going to put them on eBay it'll be me! Then I'll buy a Freddo with the proceeds.....
I spose I could be tempted to keep one of the Rands if they could be converted to modern electronics, but it's probably simpler to work my way past the fish hooks in my pocket and buy one of Tobe's modern versions.
Can take them to Ponty on Sunday if anyone wants to collect. If no-one's interested I'll stick em on the Bay at some point......
