DIY NANO Strong

Post by MelD »

Ended up with some of these.

Does not look like anything in the documentation. Any ideas if the encoder program will run and how to modify it like the others?
Thanks,
Mel D.

Hi Phil

I've had a couple of those boards and they are the same except having the additional CH40G and USB programming port, so they are more of a Nano rather than a Pro Mini. But they still have the ICSP header, so for most applications work just as well. And the 5V regulator is the AMS1117-5.0 voltage regulator, so you get a claimed 1A @ 5V. If you can live with (or want) a bootloader, they're probably better.

I have used them and they work fine. I have used also the 3.3 v socket for the NRF24 which have a regular voltage regulator up to 200mA. I got mine several years ago.
You will notice it has a well defined ICSP socket for programming

Thanks, all. Going to work with them this weekend. Got to break out the laptop and try to get the IDE fired up. Been a while....
