Hobby Porter FR810

Post by jackdaw » 02 Jan 2020, 16:43

The FR810 is an 8ch flight controller with GPS and a built in FrSky D8R compatible Rx. Rx + GPS 18.8gm total weight. Looks interesting as its designed for fixed wing. Could be useful for sub 250gm 400ft distance limit with its 'geo-fencing', 'return to home' and 'loiter' capability??
Anyone have any experience or info on it?

Mine turned up on Friday - first impressions are certainly positive! Appears to be well made, all you need - Rx, GPS, harness & programming card - are included in the package.

We have our builders back on site tomorrow & we have to be out of our current rental accommodation in 2 weeks, then I'm back in NZ for 2 weeks, so no chance of flight testing in the immediate future :(

Meantime, here are some pics & the instructions.

Still waiting for mine. Also waiting for the ZOHD Dart 250g(comes with FPV Tx + camera and flight controller + GPS)https://www.banggood.com/ZOHD-Dart250G- ... rehouse=CN
But, I've got my Jumper T16 pro Tx: https://www.quadcopters.co.uk/jumper-ra ... or-gimbals
and my Jumper 4in1 multi protocol module, to plug in my Taranis: https://www.quadcopters.co.uk/jumper-ra ... ter-module
and the Jumper R1 - D16 Rx(FrSky compatible, S-BUS straight into the ZOHD Kopilot) for the ZOHD sub 250g plane.
Just got some software updating to do. Then I can have a good play, I do so enjoy a good tinker with some new bits and bobs. Although, I guess a period of penance is called for mentioning such heretical modern RC equipment in this venerated forum of old time RC. ;)
