Hi there.

I'll send you a p.m as I am the new owner! (thanks Alex).
I have got all the old hammered finish stripped off, using some real nasty old-school paint stripper (nightmare job!) and I've treated the surface corrosion underneath. It wasn't as bad as it looked really, just a tiny bit of pitting in the worst areas. New hammer finish spray will cover it nicely.
I have a 3D printed RCS badge, (thanks again Alex!) so I just need the lettering. I was going to try and track down the font, but if you have a file, I'd be very grateful.
How I'll print it out and apply the lettering I'm not quite sure yet. Suggestions welcome!

I will be fitting the old electronics where they belong, but just for show.
In the ample space where the big old batteries used to sit will be my new Lemon Rx transmitter module, a Lipo, and one of Phil's brilliant little devices to do the necessary.
The original on/off and tone switch are in great shape.

Should look very nice when it's done. I will post pics.

Stew.

Well I've decided to keep this one on 27mhz.
I connected the original RCS board up to a 12v supply this afternoon, and the damn thing only works! Little Elmic escapement clicking away nicely on each button press through what I believe is an RCM&E receiver that Phil G kindly donated some time ago.
I just need some decals for the front and an aerial.

Photos to follow.

Stew so sorry I have only just found this ! Are you still in need of the lettering ? I will send to you when home - maybe the files could be put on the forum permanently for anyone to access

Hi Stew,

I look forward to seeing the finished result. The previous owner of the transmitter was going to bin it, thankfully it came my way. :D

Hi Alex. I'll post some photos once the badge and lettering are fixed on. It will look really nice. It's an extra bonus that it actually works too. That's why I decided not to convert it, although it would have made an ideal case.

Stew, if you are keeping your RCS tx on 27mhz I have a rx and escapement to match if you want it.
