Mattel S/C transmitter button conversion!

Hey all! Something a little different. First a little background. My first sucessful r/c experience was with Mattel S/C rudder only system. A while back I converted a Mattel transmitter to 2.4GHz and 1+1 thanks to Phil G. (It still works a treat!) I always wondered what if Mattel had made a button controlled version. (Hmmmm..) I had an extra transmitter case and this is what we came up with. Used one of Phil G.s earlier S/C encoder boards to position the two LEDs in the old trim lever slot. Came out better then expected. Fits well in hand and the button is easy to reach. Already matched to a reciever. Now have to figure out which plane to build for it. A weekender or Snipe perhaps...
