Here's the original announcement of the first crossing both Max, HenkB and I took part in: viewtopic.php?f=54&t=293&p=1305#p1305

And yes, it would be great if a great many representatives of Mode Zero would attend our next adventure near and over UK soil.
Either Max or me will do the announcement in the 'Events' section when time's due.

Of course we'd be craving for seeing those original ED sets that day, so yes please, Mike.

About the engine, I'll take care of that soon, I know my way with diesels...
Since the airplane will be considerably lighter than the 1954 version, power should prove adequate.
But I will do some thorough testing and we won't risk anything there.

Sweet (or be it slightly salty?) memories:

And well on the way

While we could nearly see the landing team on the beach, the engine quit, forcing us hauling aboard a -very wet- airplane.
The RC components were sadly written off, as you might understand.
