early home built radio

I have just converted my first Tx to 2.4, a McGregor MR200.

I had gutted what I thought was a home built Tx first - hand made ali case and circuit board on standoffs but decided the McGregor was an easy conversion.

Looking on Outerzone for a Pal Joey plan (my first r/c model, at the bottom of the screen after scrolling down was a picture of a Singlet Tx which looks identical to the one I have gutted. I have recovered the biots from the bin and reassembled it.

Was this a magazine project from the days when electronics were included?

Here you go John ..

It was a Radio Modeller build project.

As a side issue, I own Paul Newell's prototype set featured in the book..

Rgds,
