Thanks Wayne, you are spot on.
Every evening, when I go to bed, I think about which models and which transmitters I will take the next day to the airfield.
I did not count my models or transmitters yet, but I have more than necessary (as my wife says).
Everytime I see an interesting old Tx, I simply have to build it.

Hey all. After finding copies of the November and December issues of RCM&E I caught the bug for converting there old "button babies" to 2.4GHz , with using modern encoder boards and using servos instead of escapements. These were alot of fun to convert and very satifyed with the results. Thanks for taking a look!

Hey Phil. These were taken by my old but reliable LG V10 Android phone. I'm better at building boxes then photo documenting them. Guess this means that I need to convert more transmitters so that I can improve my photo documenting Skills! 😉

My next S/C replica transmitter is ready.
It´s a Graupner Standard 20 in blue color. They were avalable in black and blue as far as I know.
The meter is an expanded scale voltage meter. It features full S/C emulation with inactivity buzzer and low voltage alert.
The motor led will be fitted later.
The case is 3D-printed in the size of the actual transmitter.

Edit:
Flighttest passed, no problems.

Very nice frank

Where did the meter come from, that’s a great vintage looking meter.

Thanks Wayne and Ron,

the meter is not vintage at all, it just looks like.
Vintage meters cost a million, so I used this one:
It is available in various voltage ratings

and I used a carefully cut piece of black self adhesive vinyl to cover part of the glas.
The meter is modified to an expanded scale voltmeter using a 6.1V zener diode and a 20k variable resistor.
That makes a very vintage looking meter fo little money.

Hello,

Please can you advise if it is possible to purchase a replica transmitter, either a casing or a completed Tx

Thank you

Hi John,
sorry to say, but my replica transmitters are not for sale, nor are kits or any parts of them for sale. They are for homebuilders only.
If you like to build one, I am happy to provide the stl.files here in this forum for free download to print your own case or get it printed by someone who has a 3-D printer. I don´t own a printer myself, I got someone else to print them also.
All other necessary parts can be purchased in the known internet stores.
If you have any questions don´t hesitade to ask.

Cheers
