The right hand controls are BI simultaneous to the left hand - so can operate Rudder and motor together or rudder and elevator / works perfectly !

Stop press - the receiver works too! Just the transmitter tones on 4 channels need tuning slightly to vibrate the reeds

Re: Raven Electronics Reed 6 channel
Thank you Mike
I have the instructions too and quite an interesting read as mine appears to be a intermediate model that has the attributes of a 10 channel model as it includes the meter and black in colour .
Apparently the 6 channel doesn’t include a meter and are anodised green .
Do you have any of these sets in your collection?

No, I don't have any Raven reed gear in my collection, I wish I did! It's one of the few UK manufacturers missing, the only other I can think of is ECC (loads of Rx but no Tx). One day I'll find one I hope.
Cheers

Re: Raven Electronics Reed 6 channel
Well, I finally got myself a Raven reed set, mine is the basic 6-channel set, no meter and no key-switch ways blanked off like Jonathan's. It is in excellent condition, taking a photo of the gloss-black enamelled case without getting reflections was nearly impossible. Another for the display cabinet, sorry no conversion Phil...

Great set but if you don't turn on it off the battery will go flat.
Is that a weird reflection that looks like a spanner or is it stamped in the case?

No it's not a spanner, it is the reflection of the overhead lights... the thing is like a mirror!Shaun wrote: 16 Oct 2024, 21:04 Is that a weird reflection that looks like a spanner or is it stamped in the case?
