Ace/Kraft Reeds

Post by Mike_K »

I've been after an original Ace Kraft reed set, designed by Phil Kraft and sold by Ace. It's enormous! I've put it beside an Ace/Kraft S/C and an early Kraft proportional for size comparison (and the early proportional set is large by modern standards). It isn't just it's big footprint, it's depth is larger than any other hand held reed set I've got.

I think that is some off the oldest Kraft's work one of the most modern in the last photo?

I've noticed a lot of radios of that era seemed to use tx cases that were around 8" x 8" x 3". e.g. the Sampey.
The Kraft looks similarly proportioned.
