Yes thatโs the one
I was making my own Reed equipment (remcon) as a 14year old and Chris Olsen who was local to me took me under his wing. I witnessed the test flying of his Uplift model with a twin plug merco engine prior to the last worlds that he used reeds against most pilots using propo.
Just the feel of the switches on the matador was superb. At the time we used to listen inโ using a monitor for the tones that the pilot used as he was controlling the aircraft. In Chrisโs case particularly he was pulsing at a very high rate. The transmite servos were slow and could be held almost stationary in a mid travel position to fly larger loops for example. The F&M transmitter has a superb feel making the above possible.

Yes the Switchcraft toggles used by F&M, Orbit etc were (are still) a world away from Remcons click-clack car-window switches!!! On the other hand, if you're flying a Remcon, everyone knows and will come over for a chat, if only to say "what on earth is that racket?"

Oh no Phil youโve even got a Tauri
as well. After the Suzy Que on reeds with Remcon before the Digithree with AMT I used a an RCS super Regen multi receiver in my Tauri. At the the Golden Cross Rally of the year Olsen, Van den Burg flew superhet reeds in the pylon racing event. As I only had super regen I was allowed to race on my own against the stopwatch with Frank Van den burg as my caller. HOW COOL was that. Son of a working family flying with people that could AFFORD F&M, orbit Kraft etc
