Hello Phil et all,
In the Netharlands, PH-SAM there is some interest in 2.4GHz conversion. As the soldering of many wires onto 1 pad is a bridge to far for many of us, I have designed a mounting board for your wonderfull 3 and 4 CH digispark encoder. I am awaiting an offer to have 20 pcs of them produced while we speak. I used the exact footrpint of the Strongboard, so there is always the potential to easily convert/upgrade to that. For those who like it small, just grind off the surplus unused board.
Here are some pictures of what I hope it will look like, once it hits my doormat.
Unfortunately I called it an Decoder... but that does not harm the functionality.

A great idea Raymond and very neatly done!
The most tedious part of doing DigiSpark encoders is the wiring so this will make the job much easier where space isnt a concern
30cm female-female extension leads snipped in two will make a very neat conversion.
For DigiSpark enthusiasts, very nicely done Raymond! ...and its great to see people still following these projects

PS - Although... if a transmitter does have enough space, then personally I much prefer the 7ch DIY-More though as it has a few advantages over the DigiSpark, including the crystal timing, no need for fuse-setting, multiple mix options, three S/C variations, selectable channel order, expo, rates, minute-minder, range-test, more channels, etc...

It has the same lateral dimensions As the DIY more.
As I used both, I really appeciate the easy use of the Digispark, bringing old transmitters back close to the original specs. Even adding mixing, throttle warning and servo reverse.
For RF I tend to use the IrangeX 4+, which is compliant and programmable for almost all Rx. (Sorry for Multiplex and Futaba Fasst) I simply click on a “naked” 2.4 Ghz antenna with a 15 cm lead, which can be hidden inside (plastic TX) or outside (Metal TX)
But lets wait in what falls on the doormat.
Maybe it all goes up in smoke…

And on the doormat they fell!
Nicely packed, 20 boards.
Soldered on the pins, the shottky diode and the buzzer, and they are good to go. (Dont forget to flash the digispark and flip the fuse
) These 2 boards will go to a not so electronics savy model flying pall. On the 2.4 Ghz module lead I soldered a 5 pin connector that snaps inernally into a IRangeX 4 plus, so only power needs to be supplied and the leads need to be soldered on the stick pots. I add an exrta external antenna, that can be clicked on the IRangeX 4 plus board instead of the ugly OEM one.
Nicely packed, 20 boards.
