Unmasking to reveal the Satin Black and couldnt resist inserting the mechanics into the case for a bit of a Reveal and see the overall effect of the case refurb!
Now to crack on and finish the pot to encoder wiring and RF module install....

Idris would be chuffed to bits
I would like to think so as he looks down from the Great Shed in the Sky!
This transmitter is being restored as a bit of surprise for a modeller who, sadly, is a victim of Stroke, and only has the full use of his right side, hence the single stick! The transmitter belonged to his Father and so there is a one family ownership provenance from new and, so hopefully, it will be put back into use again when it is completed.

Slowish progress on the mechanics, it looks like the Flight Link throttle and aux pots are either broken or designed to be 30 Megaohm at one end!!
So new pots were installed after much discussion with Mike K
The three axis sticks are 10K so will require some tweaking of the ballast resistor values to get the trims working correctly.....so thanlks to Mike and his calculator, have some 10K resistors on order....

Anyway here is the latest on the mechanics, probly not a lot of visual difference apart form being cleaner and tidied up all round.....oh and the meter works full scale on the 2s Lipo

Looks really good Stuart, I only wish I had those sort of skills but I was a builder and lump hammers were my favourite tools!
