JR DSX9 conversion

My little write up. Hope it makes sense. For the JR DSX9 transmitter conversion.
Remove the battery and open the transmitter by removing the 6 screws and loosening the top locating screws for the switches between the case parts.
Remove the two sets of leads connecting the front and rear of the transmitter. This makes it a lot easier to work on the parts. Remove the 5 mounting screws for the rear circuit board
De solder the JR bind button and remove from the board. Using the switch mounting holes, drill these out to 3mm and make a slot across the board between these holes. This will allow the LED’s on the Lemon board to shine through. Pull the clear plastic button from the original JR button and glue it into the rear of the case. Remove the aerial lead from the JR module VERY CAREFULLY, so you don’t damage it and you can then use the JR aerial on the new unit. Make up two blocks as shown and drill the circuit board with 1.5mm drill and then screw the blocks to the board with 2mm bolts, to hold the Lemon unit just clear of the original JR module. Put a piece of insulating tape on the JR module to make sure you cannot short out the new module.
Cut the circuit board from pin R33 marked on the JR board. I did this with a 1.5mm drill VERY CAREFULLY, making sure that there is no connection left at that point. I used a magnifying glass to check that I had completely cut the circuit board land.
Cut into lead number 4 counted from the end with the grey wire. This is the PPM connection that you need to pick up. Join in with a solder joint and insulate with tape. Solder this one to the PPM on the Lemon unit.
Next solder an earth/negative lead to the -ve on the JR board and join this onto the Lemon unit.
Go to the On/Off switch mounted in the front circuit board and cut the land from the TOP LEFTHAND solder joint near the switch. Again I did this with a small drill in my Dremmel and checked again with a magnifying lens to make sure that the land is completely cut. Solder your +ve wire to this connection and connect the other end to the +ve connection on the Lemon unit.
Solder your remote push button Bind switch to the Lemon unit and drill a hole and mount this in a position that suits you.
Check and double check everything and refit the Transmitter battery and test all is working as it should. Re-join the Transmitter halves and away you go.
