Forget to mention, they fly well don't they.
Oh no another one back on the bucket list. I gave mine away.

R/O Flying Using Radio from Tobe's skunkworkshop
Flying my 1961 Half Tone today using Tobe's slick little nRF24 R/O TX and brick airborne unit. The radio works like a charm! Takes me back to 1971 when I learned to fly my first RC plane (a Midwest Whiz Kid with Cox Golden Bee .049) with an Ace R/C pulse proportional R/O radio set using an Adams Stomper magnetic actuator. Of course with Tobe's R/O unit I also have throttle now which adds a lot to the fun. And being electric there is no oil to clean off afterwards which I really like.

Flying the Gopher with the New TDK 6CH TX Encoder
I have been flying an old design of mine, the Gopher, using Tobe's new nRF24 6CH encoder (see page 4 of this thread) in my TDK GG transmitter, and matching TDK nRF24 RX. It's a great radio and performs well - perfect for my 3 CH models.
The Gopher (21" span & 4.6 ozs) is a 20 year old design of mine that originally flew using a GWS brushed 180 motor which I later replaced with a Feigao 1208436L motor (sadly no longer available) for more performance. The 3CH Gopher is a later version of the original Gopher which was R/O, designed by me in 1975. The R/O version used an Ace R/C pulse proportional radio with Adams Baby Twin actuator and a Cox Tee Dee .010.
Tobe has done a fantastic job on his nRF24 radio designs. I am very happy with his R/O and multi-channel radios and would expect them to be in high demand. Highly recommended!

Re: From Tobe's skunkworkshop
To second Al here are 2 Swedish Gopher.
Why build one when you can build 2...
20" span, 5 oz, and 35 watts behind the propeller, one version of my Gopher is R/O with throttle as the other is a "conventional: 3 channels, both are extremely aerobatic.
Basic balsa frame just doped with a few trims in tissue paper
Thank you Al to have me let take a peak at your drawings.

Re: From Tobe's skunkworkshop
As many of you might already know I have a preference for smaller models so it was time to design a Rx that would replace my commercial Micro Rx and this came out:
Operation voltage down to 1S LiPo as the Atmega88 and the nRF24 is runned at 2,7v but the servos are still supplied with +Batt, to be able to run at 2,7v the crystal is a 8MHz for the Atmega88, the Rx has reverse polarity protection and a couple of LED to show it's working and receiving the packet from the Tx.
Total weight is 3 gr. and size 18x30mm-could had it smaller but I wanted 6 channels and the connectors dictate the size in some how.

Fantastic! Looking forward to seeing some of the models that you equip with these superb little receivers Tobe.
