Orbit single stick

Post by Wayne_H »

I scored this Orbit single stick tx off Aussie Ebay, having put in the first & lowest (i.e. starting) bid before again having to return to my project in NewZealand. Having put in the starting bid, I assumed that the collectors would go crazy once they found it - I won it with the first and only bid :o

There was some anguish & frustration when Aussie Post reported the Tx as having been delivered to an address 800km away. Eventually it was sorted and I received my Orbit trannie - happy chappie again!!

I've never been a "cuddle box" knob twiddler, the last time I used a "full house" single stick tx being in the early 80's. From memory, that was a MRC set. I don't recall being blown away at the time by the concept, but hey, to each his own 😁

This tx is very clean and "straight". It should only require some house keeping inside & out before conversion to 2.4Ghz

Now that we're back in Australia for the forseable future, I can hopefully get into the restoration of this and other sets I've been collecting.
