Stick units. Who does 'em?

Post by Stew »

Hi all.

I have a lovely Micron Tx in excellent condition, duly converted to 2.4 and working nicely. It looks great, but it could do with an upgrade as the sticks and pots are not the best. I just don't trust them!
Does anyone sell stick units these days? SLM and the like used to do such things, but they seem like rocking horse poo to get hold of at the mo.

Anyone got any ideas? Do the hole spacings for the fixing screws tend to be standard? I was thinking of butchering some non-collectable older transmitter for the sticks as a plan B.

Unfortunately there's no standard for sticks despite many are similar so you have to look around and hope in the luck of finding something usable. The good thing is that many different brands are using sticks from the same manufacturer with just a few changes.
Mine would probably not fit unfortunately.
A custom bezel could work as an adapter depending on how truthful you Ike to be to the original design of the Tx.
