Lovely model, just lacking in aileron response and needs flying on aileron and rudder (like most full size gliders)

Jonathan had covered the aileron gap with clear tape, which had become loose, you can just see it on the starboard wingtip

Almost :) Thats the Lou Weihs "Little V" from 1969, I bought this one from Ron but he missed it so much he built another in exactly the same decor!
One thing that has struck home at recent soaring meets and again at Ivinghoe is how much fun small gliders can be. The "Little V" is 36" as is my 75% Impala which I honestly believe is better than the original 52". Jonathan's T-tailed Ridge Runt. Shaun's 'Piglet'. Lidl gliders. Angelwings 'Smash' and 'Micro Dammit'. Small gliders = big fun! :)

We flew again Sunday morning until it was time for Shaun, Rob & Jonathan to make their way home, Monday I cycled up and there were 2 flyers having fun after work with Weasels on the car park slope, today Gary Binnie was there with his Thing & Wildthing, again on teh car park slope but it turns out the cheap Banggood receiver in my Lidl twisty that lives in the van has no range and I dont have a replacement here with me. At least I think its the rx, its a cheap Frsky clone.

Edit: Turns out the cheap Banggood rx is fine, my Frsky DFT module has failed!
After singing Frsky's praises for 15 years this is my second RF module that has failed in storage, it was fine when last used.
Rather than replace the DFT I might take the opportunity to NRF it.

Great pics Mike. The captions help immensely :P

Jonathan is tall enough to stand out without needing a fishing rod!!

Re the sealing tape:
Is it applied top or bottom? Bottom always better - less uv exposure & pressure differential helps to keep tape in place.
A silicon living hinge is an alternative worth considering IMHO ;)
Cheers,

Wayne

Just read that they've cancelled again, so 21st is off, maybe 28th?

Just as well you didn't all wait around for the official event, you would have had two weeks in Ivinghoe and no event. If they can cancel it for two more weekends I will be able to attend as I'll be back in the area!

Meanwhile the mode-zero slips soaring event at Ivinghoe last weekend was a great success.

That's excellent Shaun - will look forward to the pictures of the majestic old lady in action. :)
