KeilKraft invader build

Post by RON »

Having a go at building a KK invader. I’m fancying the twisty wings method as the tail plane is an awkward shape for adding a rudder.
5mm carbon rod with tubing through the center of the wing.
I was inspired by John Woodfield’s invader YouTube video.

I've always liked the Invader...... my elder brother had one when we were nobbut kids, which as I remember flew tolerably well considering it had square leading edges because we were too lazy to use sandpaper!!!

In fact, I am currently playing with the Invader plan in CAD at the moment.

Ron - is this from a kit and if it is, does your kit have the Amerang or the 'proper' Keilkraft plan therein? Outerzone only has a low res copy of the Amerang plan and it would be nice to have a copy of the better AEH plan.....

Thanks Carl,

I’m not sure what plan it is, how do you tell? It’s a kit from VMC

Can you just take a picture of it with your phone? I don't know whether VMC draw up their own plans, in which case I wouldn't be uploading that to Outerzone.....

What an excellent project, I saw John's video when he first posted it and thought it was a great idea.

I look forward to watching this build progress.

It’s exactly the same as the one on outerzone but with the text cleared up a bit.
