Has anyone got a plan as I have a bit of a winter project on the go?

Leon at Belair does a laser cut parts kit for the Concord. He can also put you in touch with Colin Smith (Phil Smith's son) who took over his plans service. Ali Machinski has the pre kit prototype I believe.

Just for bragging rights, I have the 2nd prototype Veron Concord. It was the proving model built from the first production kit by Phil Smith.

No hanger queen it's flown and will do again.

Thanks Shaun, have a model here that needs the ailerons re-engineering.
I wanted to see material thickness and dimensions of the surfaces, can you share that info with me?

Got Any pics of your one to post here?

I'll have a look tomorrow; I believe I have a Concord kit that will have a plan in.

Hi Stu,

Aileron is made from hard balsa:- 1 3/16" wide tapering from 1/4" to 3/32" at the t.e.

C of G is:- 4 5/16" from leading edge.

Thank God, I stripped the covering off, as one wing tip was soaked and going mouldy inside the covering.
Letting it dry out completely and some bleach took all the black mould out of the wood.
Progress so far.....

Slow but sure progress in the Swaffham balsa dust factory!

Covering getting perilously close after removing the glued on stab and made into a bolt on affair as I have done with the wing.
New ailerons fabricated and wings fettled and fuse/tail/wings all +realigned.

Am pretty sure the airframe has been built from an original kit many years ago judging by the amount of spindle moulded components in the fuselage structure.
