I made the drawings for the Cox dummy and the stl. files myself using OpenSCAD and a friend did the 3D-printing for me.

I got a new model, a Vic Smeed Poppet.
It uses an old Adams actuator, which I got from Tobe some time ago (Thanks again Tobe).
It flies very well with almost no waggeling.
Power is a 2S900 Lipo which gives about 20 min flying time.
The dummy engine is 3D printed.

'Love it! I have built 4 Poppets over the years and all of them have flown straight from the building board...... and all of them flew away sooner or later! Perhaps I need to build a fifth!? ;)

I'll agree with the Poppet being a good flyer. I had some of my best flights ever with a Poppet, including one evening where it circled overhead hands off for 10 mins. I just sat down and watched it. Rock solid, and a better flier than the Tomboy IMHO.

Hi folks,
I got a new flying machine ready for maiden departure, a Vic Smeed´s Coquette.
It will be controlled by RET, power is a small electric 1806 typ motor hidden in a dummy mills diesel.
I plan to fly it on the button. Maiden flight will be as soon as there is good weather.

Hi Frank,
Looks great👍.

The Coquette is a great model, one of my favourite Vic Smeed designs. I built a double sized one back in the late 1980's. It was powered with a MK1 OS Gemini 120 twin. Did you see it when we met up at Flugtag a few years ago? I'm afraid I can't find a better image of it at the moment.

Can't wait to see the flying shots.

Ps like your colour scheme. 😄😄

Shaun I remember your model from Euroflugtag. I did like your color sheme so I did mine very similar. Sadly I am not very creative in designing color shemes, so I always search for something nice to copy.

I copied mine plus at the time I only had yellow Solartex and red paint in stock :D :D :D

You'll have a lot of fun with it.👍

Shaun's model was quite well known, it even appeared on the cover of the RCM&E magazine, with an earlier version of Shaun holding it...
