I have owned a few full size airplanes of different kind but only one sailplane and that was a Scheibe Spatz that the new owner converted to a Motorspatz by chopping the nose and installed a Hirth engine and was extremely pleased so I expect you Frank to be as pleased thank to one more amazing model exiting your workshop.
The good thing with the Spatz was that it was approved for winch start and will stay up for ever on minimal thermal activities but the forward speed was almost nil!
Be well and cheers Frank

Today the weather was perfect, no wind, no one there.
I had three flights with the Motorspatz, the first, maiden flight lasted 20 min, the second 17 min and the third 15min. Everything was just great.
Then I had seven more flights with the Schoolboy using the Futaba S/C replica NRF24 transmitter and the Roaring 20 using the Fishing Rod transmitter on 35MHz. That adds up to about two hours of pure flight time for today.
A perfect day!

Next restauration project is ready for its maiden flight.
It´s a Hegi Cessna 210 Centurion vom 1968. It features a Terluran plastic fuselage which is so brittle now, it is a pain to handle.
Let´s see how long she will stay airworthy.
Maiden flight will be in the near future.
Power is a 3542 electric motor with a 3s lipo. Rudder, elevator and throttle only.

Great job Frank..If it survives and I can get to Euroflugtag next year, you'll have to bring it along.👍

I have a new flying-machine ready for departure.
Since you never have enough S/C models I decided to build a new one using one of iGull´s laser kits, I ordered before Brexit and balsa shortage.
It came out at 280g AUW ready for departure. Just rudder and motor control, nothing else.
Maiden flight will be next week.

By the way, the Hegi Cessna Centurion from a few posts above flies beautifully.
The inverted flight ability and the rolling circels (no ailerons, just rudder and elevator) have to be seen.
One of the best 3 channel models (RET) I ever had.
