A few classic kits

Post by Shaun »

Here you go a few from my collection... Slowly being built. The Chipmunk is a rare DC engines kit. I believe they only ever offered this one and a freeflighter.

Hi Shaun, No one seems to have or know about the contest kits combat king. I don't think it had a plan it was mainly just an assembly job like the kk gyron from the same stable as Kiel kraft - Mercury see attachments. I drew a half baked plan out myself but I'm no draughts person. If anyone has a kit i could check to see if my plans are anywhere near I would appreciate it. thanks Phil

Hi Wiggles.....

Very few model shops seemed to stock the Contest Kit range. Still as they are rarely seen just build yours from your plan and who can argue it's not authentic

I seem to remember it was basically like a KeilKraft Talon changed a bit with out the wing tip Talons and lower aspect ratio.... OK nothing like a Talon then really... :?

Go on, build it for Ponte or you could wait for the next copy of RCM&E.
Now why would I be mentioning Control Line in an RC mag.. You'll have to see.

Actually looking at your plan again, the canopy is very reminiscent of the Veron Bee Bug

I will certainly give them a good go...

Plus I had a care package from Australia the other week.
I bought two kits and a model shops worth turned up..
So you have plenty to go at when you move over here. 😂😉
