Often forgot about but boats are a great way for the youngsters to get into radio control or even the oldies!

Lovely Wavemaster with original gear- Kinetic actuator and Graupner Variphon 2 . Got all the original paperwork everything . The boat even smells beautiful inside like paxolin varnish old oil etc . Glorious ! Rx seemingly not working presently. Going to get it all going on the water with a Magregor outfit of similar vintage for time being

So what’s happing here (or not happening? ) is TX meant to pulse or two tone? Nuffin only carrier ?

You should get two different tones Jonathan - am modulated, and quite loud.
Could be as simple as a mucky switch :D

Lovely Wavemaster with original gear...

1 - That looks like an Aerokits Sea Commander - the smaller version of the Sea Queen.

2 - Taurus Flyer (who you can find on this link - https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthr ... nnel-radio - is a specialist in repairing Continental single-channels. You will see from the link that he his able to do detailed fault-finding and reverse engineering over a forum link...!
