Love it,

would like to see a full house model flown with this setup and the GG version same model.

Only one issue, the throttle stick is on the wrong side. :D

Here are suitable Rx compatible with Phil's lockdown project.
...not sure if I'm going to print cases or I will be opting for shrink tube 🤔

There are a few nRF24 Rx and nRF24 Tx pcb's of my design available so for those of you that might be interested please PM. They are at cost plus S&H
They runs straight forward with Phil's nRF24 project and here comes a pic in how to connect your USBASP to the Rx as the Tx has regular ICSP.

My take on 'Model Memories' - they belong in the receiver!

Post by Phil_G »

Further experimentation with the homebrew FHSS set... I've always thought that conventional "model memories" were in the wrong place, why are they in the transmitter where you have to 'select' the right one for a model?
Surely the individual configuration for a model should be in the model, ie in its receiver?
On the back burner I've been wanting to do some small NRF updates, Ponty gave me enough mojo to at least move the mixer and reversing into the receiver. It works exactly the same so you wouldnt know I'd moved it.

It means for example I can fly the Lidl Wing with any of my transmitters without having to go inside to enable the mixer, and that I can use my little black & red Lidl transmitter with the Rudder-elevator Lidl glider or the Lidl Wing - or any combination of my models and transmitters - without changing anything, and with no need to 'select a model memory'. Theres no possibility of launching a model with the wrong configuration selected - the configuration is already in the model!

The video shows two different models, one a flying wing using an elevon mix, and one a simple rudder/elevator model with no mix at all. Reversing has been configured for each individual model and each overall configuration is then stored in its receiver. "Model memories" are redundant!

A small step in a work-in-progress, but at least its a start :-)

Following on from Tobes post above, here is a diagram of Tobe's rx PCB with USBASP programming connections:

Hi all.. a bit late to this party so please excuse if I'm behind the curve.
The RF-Nanos you are using for this project - are they 328p RF-Nanos or LGT8F328P RF-Nanos?

As you can see there is quite a price differential.

Some info on the LGT8F328P https://sites.google.com/site/ericmklau ... uino-clone
You only ever need two tools....WD40 and duct tape.
If it doesn't move when it should use the WD40 and if it moves and it shouldn't use the tape.
