Fabulous Tobe - super examples of what can be achieved. This Forum enables all of us to leverage off the collective experiences, wisdom and technical expertise available and achieve similar if we just have a go!! Inspirational

A few pictures for an option showing in how to add a connector strip and here I have to thank James for inspiration from a very good idea.
Notice that I still run the initial 4 ch configuration with failsafe on D7

Re: Frequency hopping experiments on the NRF24
Being a bit short of skills etc and no real knowledge I was struggling to do the hateful job of removing pins from boards a loathsome job anyway I've come up with a simple method, well it works for me which gets the job in no time.
Holding board remove the plastic pin guides and bend the pin to a hook shape. Attach an elastic band which in turn is attached, in my case to the terminal of a 12v starting battery. Tension the band holding on to the pcb and touch the reverse side of the pin with a soldering iron and immediately the pin goes flying across the room. (since first go I now employ a barrier). See photo

Just be careful that you don't pull to soon before you have enough heat and get some of the track to follow.

Fair point Tobe. I've refined things a bit by using a thin elastic band about 60mm long the tension is very little no more than a 10mm stretch. I put some rosin flux on the pin, reverse side to the bent pin end, and with a probably over hot iron release is immediate if anyone tries this method you can play about with it to fit what you feel is right.
Your receiver box is fantastic a nice touch, did you 3D print it?

The Rx casing is 3D printed in Tough Resin in a DPL/SLA printer, quite economical but can make a mess if you don't have it well organized.
The strength is not up to ABS filament machin but for this small jobs it's ideal and the precision is astonishing.

After removing the plastic, I just hold the board upside down and bump on the desk when the solder is heated enough.
Avoids the possibility of ripping the track off by other means.

That's exactly how how I do it with the benefit that most holes remain clean and open ready for new receptacles.
