Jst /Futaba Leads

Post by RobertC »

Hi Everyone

Can someone point me the way please

I’ve always bought servo extension leads from local model shop/ eBay , but cannot seem to find a good cheap supply of the ‘twisted’ variety with Futaba 3pin plug and socket around 200 mm/250mm long

Any advice would be welcomed
Thank you

...that's why I crimp all my own leads or better one reason as most twisted that could be found from time to ime are often heavy duty. My preference is for 0,14 QMM / 26 AWG

Go on ebay

You can buy a standard lead, leave the plugs or sockets on both ends but separate the three wires. Then twist them by holding one end (gently) in a vice and use a twist drill to twist the other end. "Over twist" it a bit because it will try to unwind. Then keep it straight with slight tension and use a heat gun to gently soften the plastic coating. Keep the tension on while it cools and it will set as a twisted lead. :P

These were twisted in this way........
