Looks much like an enlarged - twice size? - Ken Willard Pageboy

with a built up wing, but the tailpane shape is not quite right.

- but the nose more resembles the Pageboy

The fin shape is however more like Dave Platt's Half Tone - https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=5673

Could be an own design(?) based on one or more of the above.

My first thought was Mr Willard, but it “hain’t” a Schoolboy. As well as the nose being wrong, the Schoolboy had a fully-sheeted wing ... or mine did in ‘67/68.

...actually the original Schoolboy had an open built up wing when it was published the first time. I remember it because when I intended to build my first Schoolboy after seen one built from the kit at the field some 45 years ago my late dad said he would not spare to me enough balsa for a fully sheeted wing and he put this drawing in my hands.
Please notice the landing gear in dural aluminum and not piano wire.

I fully agree with Tobe,
my Schoolboy has also the open wing structure, but I opted for a wire landing gear which is much easier to cut and bent than the aluminum one.
Nevertheless it´s the best model for S/C I ever flew.
Th mystery plane above is in fact no Schoolboy.

No, the rudder shape doesn´t fit and the elevator position is to low. Number of wing ribs is too low also.

You're right Frank so I had another look on Outerzone and there is also a "Micro Mambo" (https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=6057) which has the right number of ribs but the tailplane is still set lower. It is SO similar in other respects that I wonder if the builder modified the tail end to accommodate the gg system?

Despite the diesel engine, it looks like it was filmed in America? So we should perhaps be looking mainly for USA-designs?
