Citizen-Ship TTX transmitter

Post by rudderonlybird »

I've just started modifying this old Citizen-Ship model TTX single-channel transmitter for Phil's SC encoder and a 2.4 FrSky RF deck. This transmitter is anodized red, and might have a clear coat over the silkscreen lettering. How important is it to ground the transmitter bushing, the one that antenna screws onto, so it electrically bonds to the aluminum case? Should I run a wire to case ground from the battery A- ?

Any info is appreciated.

Hi Marc

The simple answer is It doesn’t need to be, I often make tx’s in plastic cases and they all work perfectly without any grounding of the antenna mount.
