This is my KK Gipsy (or Gypsy?) that is ready for covering. It will be firstly covered with Mylar then tissue over the top for a durable traditional finish.

The removable motor was to allow me to fly with rubber power if I ever wanted to, but now that you mention it it could also allow me to slope soar it - wow a 3 in 1 model - now that's a bargain :D

The under carriage I'd made removable for storage purposes as they're long and gangly things, but that means they are out of the way to for a spot of slope soaring - hmm 8-) Thanks for the idea Ron ;)

Regarding neat cuts - a sharp knife and I'm afraid I'm a perfectionist

Yes I made the tube. I have A5 thin card in different pale colours - it's only 160gsm. It rolls very well without creasing. Just thinly smeared some white glue on one side and wrapped it around a suitable rod. Sets into a strong, stiff, light tube. I chose a cream colour to blend in with the wood colour.
