URGENT NOTICE : SCALE WEEKEND

PREVENT CANCELLATION BY BOOKING AHEAD, ONLINE, BY THURSDAY.

www.shuttleworth.org/events/modelair-scale-model

We have been asking people to please book your tickets online, in advance. The link has been made available in emails and online. Sadly, only a few people have done so.

SHUTTLEWORTH NEED TO SEE A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN PRE-BOOKINGS BY THURSDAY. THIS IS CRITICAL.

If online bookings are not forthcoming, Shuttleworth will have no option but to cancel, to avoid the risk of not being covid-secure.

Shuttleworth has a legal obligation to collect NHS Test and Trace details, and this is managed by capturing the required details online during the pre-booking process.

Please share this with your modelling colleagues as a matter of urgency.

Thank you

LET'S WORK TOGETHER TO SAVE SCALE WEEKEND

I've booked for both days, I sincerely hope they don't cancel....... I've got 5 models ready!

Been there myself last September.
This year we are not allowed hopping over for 2 days.
Hoping you're all having good fun over there this weekend!

But....
Also this Sunday will be our Dutch derivative, the 'Dutch Old Warden'
Not on an airfield, but in a vast area of pasture land.
Flying 'from the boot', FF, CL & vintage RC:

Ooh, that little Stavely looks nice, but £55 is a bit steep for me!

The Staveley is a rare set though ..would make a nice conversion.
They've sold for a lot more in the past as have the RCS Reed sets..

The Stentorian Bipe looks pretty tatty and what's the flat aileron wing all about? How much was it.?

Shaun.

Converting old sets onto 2.4 has become really popular and I fear that by producing all these "easy to install" emulators and encoders Phil is largely responsible for driving up the price of what would otherwise be obsolete junk!

I picked up a Futaba FR22 from Ali for £35 which I didn't think was too bad. It's a bit grubby but I think it will clean up quite well ;)

It uses the exif information in the photo Paul, all these sideways photos have orientation set to 90° in their exif, so its displaying the photo correctly :D Its a problem with modern cameras, theres quite a fuss about it on Whatsapp.

Paul very kindly loaned me his miniature Cito S/C magnetic actuator set, I think it was unique in its era and works great - thanks Paul :D
