The model would be a harmless 'toy' like the KF606: viewtopic.php?p=8412#p8412
The rules could be something like you video a flight, no editing allowed, it has to be exactly a 60 second flight and achieve 'roof height', with landing on the spot and points deducted for over/under time and distance from the spot. If theres no wind you can fly these in your garden, kids playground or a small park, so it opens it up for anyone self-isolating or who just doesnt fancy venturing out just yet. Waddya fink?

Sounds like a plan Phil. 👍

I pushed the boat out and ordered a KF606 - arrives March 02

Will still enjoy getting it to work with open Tx so happy

Just made myself a foam core cutter and been making some walk along gliders - house isn't big enough for continuous flight but works outside is absolutely no wind

My KF606 arrived today - UK supplier off Ebay - but had given March 2nd as delivery

looks fun - but inside too small (I tried) and outside too windy

TX fairly basic - but planning to use Jumper with s/c emulator for amusement - assuming I can tweak programme

Any other takers for a Coupe de Covid?

Did anything further happen to this idea? In ottawa we are preparing for winter but have access to a large”barn” for indoor flying. Last year we enjoyed flying vapours, small eflite rtf aircraft and a few home builts. We could be persuaded to a single model event for indoor or calm outdoor conditions.

Mark.

What about a group Zoom chat every now and then ?
A chance to talk technical - share a few laughs and the latest model or gadget we are building ? :geek:
